We are delighted to announce that Consulate General of India, Guangzhou is organising a FREE Workshop on ‘Introduction to Madhubani Painting’ as part of the Pathshala Series to promote aspects of Indian Culture in South China.
The details of the workshop are as follows~
Date: 9 December 2023 (Saturday)
Time: 3-5 PM
Venue: Consulate General of India, Guangzhou.
2. Madhubani Painting, also known as Mithila Art, is characterised by line drawing filled in with bright colours and contrasts or patterns. These paintings are popular because of their tribal motifs and use of bright earthy colours. Figures from nature and Indian mythology are adapted by the artists in these paintings.
3. The Workshop on ‘Introduction to Madhubani Painting’ will be conducted by Ms Vaishnavi Buram, an Arts & Crafts Teacher & a National Awardee.
4. The Workshop will provide the participants a unique opportunity to immerse in the rich cultural heritage of India and explore the intricate art of Madhubani painting. Participants will have a chance to create their own artwork under the guidance of the skilled instructor.
5. Whether you are a beginner or an advanced artist, this workshop will provide you an enriching experience. The invitation is open to all nationalities and age groups.
6. Since the workshop is being offered Free of Cost on first-cum, first-serve basis, we request you to please register at the QR code given in the Flyer to reserve your spot by 7 December (6 pm).
