The 2nd International Conference of Indologists was held at Shenzhen from 11-13 November, 2016. The Conference saw participation of more than 75 Indologists from all over the world China, Germany, Thailand, Chile and India. The Indologists presented research papers in five broad areas namely: Indological Studies in China, Indological Studies all over the World, Buddhist Culture and World Culture, Indology and Indo-China Cultural Exchanges and Indian Literature and Grammar.
The Opening Ceremony of the Conference was addressed by Prof. Lokesh Chandra, President of ICCR, Mr. Hu Sishe, Vice President of CPAFFC; Ambassador Mr. Vijay Gokhale, Ven. Guangquan, Director of Hangzhou Buddhist Academy; and Prof. Liu Hongyi, Secretary of CPC Committee of Shenzhen University. Consul General Mr. Y.K. Sailas Thangal addressed at the valedictory function.
