The Consulate General of India in Guangzhou in collaboration with Indian community and Indian restaurant owners in Guangzhou organized a “Great Indian Mela – an Indian Food Festival” on January 10, 2016 in the American International School of Guangzhou (AISG), Ersha Island, Guangzhou. The event included presentation of Indian Cultural programmes, exhibition–cum-sale of Indian textile products (garments and costumes), handicraft items, live demonstration of Mehandi art, etc. More than 3000 people attended the event.
