As you are aware, 9th January is celebrated every year as Pravasi Bharatiya Divas (PBD). This is an important occasion for us to connect more closely with the diaspora and engage them in the ongoing transformation in India, while also being responsive to their aspirations and concerns.
2. On the occasion of PBD 2020, Hon’ble External Affairs Minister (EAM) Dr S Jaishankar will address the Indian diaspora. The proceedings would begin at 1800hrs (IST) (20:30 hrs. Local Chinese Time) on 9th January, 2020 from Pravasi Bharatiya Kendra (PBK) in New Delhi.
3. The Consulate General of India in Guangzhou is making arrangements for live telecast of EAM's address at Consulate’s Premises (Unit 1406-1409, HNA Tower, 8 Linhe Zhong Road, Tianhe District, Guangzhou) on Thursday, 9 January, 2020. The program will start at 20:00 hrs. You are, requested to kindly confirm your participation (RSVP) for the said event to the Consulate by email to cul.guangzhou@mea.gov.in .
