We are delighted to announce that as part of its ‘Pathshala’ Series to promote aspects of Indian Culture in South China, Consulate General of India, Guangzhou is organising a FREE Workshop on ‘Introduction to Kathak’. The details of the workshop are as follows~
Date: 20 January 2024 (Saturday)
Time:10 am – 12 noon
Venue: Consulate General of India, Guangzhou, 14th Floor, HNA Tower No. 8. Linhe Zhong Road, Tianhe District, Guangzhou
2.The Workshop will be conducted by Kathak Artist and Choreographer Ms Jessica Correa, a disciple of the Legendary Pandit Birju Maharaj.
3.The Kathak Workshop is designed for participants aged 7 years and above who are interested to explore the intricacies of this classical Indian dance form. During the workshop, the participants will gain insights into the rich cultural heritage and history of Kathak, followed by technical aspects including an interactive session of basic techniques involved in this elegant Indian classical dance form of Kathak.
4. The invitation is open to All Nationalities.
5. Since the workshop is being offered Free of Cost on first-cum, first-serve basis, we request you to please register at the QR code given in the Flyer to reserve your spot by 18 January 2024 (6 pm).
