Hindi Diwas celebrations at the Consulate on 14th September, 2017

To commemorate Hindi Diwas Consulate organized an event at the Consulate premises on September 14, 2017. While addressing the gathering, CG Shri Y.K.Sailas Thangal  remarked that Hindi being official language plays an very important role in uniting the country and stressed the requirement of spreading awareness of Hindi among the Indian community as well as friends of India all over the world.

The event was attended by more than 60 Indians and Hindi speaking Chinese friends. At the event shri Vivek Mani Tripathi, Hindi  teacher at the Guangdong University of Foreign Language read out a Hindi poem which was well received by the audience. The event was also an opportunity for the Hindi speaking Chinese friends to interact and test their Hindi language skills with the Indian nationals present at the venue. Chinese friends also  addressed the gathering in Hindi which indicates the awareness created among the local Chinese nationals on the importance of learning Hindi. Few Indian nationals also took the opportunity to addressed the gathering in Hindi.
