A China-India Business Council (CIBC) Liaison Office was inaugurated in the Hunan CCPIT in Changsha on 28th November. CIBC is established by the National Committee of the China Council for Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and is aimed to facilitate more interaction, business and investment between India and China. The inauguration ceremony was attended by Consul General Shri Sailas Thangal, Mr. Lu Pengqi, Vice Chairman of the national CCPIT, Mr. He Jian, Chairman of Hunan CCPIT and other senior officials of both the national and Hunan CCPITs, as well as Hunan government. A Seminar on India-China Business and Investment Opportunities was also held on the afternoon of 28th November. The seminar was supported by the Hunan CCPIT, the Hunan Province Agricultural Commission, Xiangtan University and the Hunan-India Chamber of Commerce, and attended by over 150 Chinese businessmen.
