1. The seven provinces together accounted for 28.9% of China’s GDP in 2022.

2. Trade between India and the seven provinces under this Post’s jurisdiction was USD 38.418 billion in 2022.

3. Indian exports to these provinces in 2022 were USD 4.042 billion as against USD 5.663 billion in 2021. India’s imports from these provinces were USD 34.376 billion as against USD 26.709 billion in 2021. Guangdong Province alone contributed USD 25.375 billion to the bilateral trade.

3. Major items of India’s exports to these provinces included Iron ores and concentrates, Granite, porphyry, basalt, sandstone and other monumental or building stone, Diamonds, Crustaceans, Cotton yarn, Electrical transformers, static converters and inductors, Seeds of anise, badian, fennel, coriander, cumin or caraway; juniper berries, Telephone sets, Flours, meals and pellets, of meat or meat offal, of fish or of crustaceans, molluscs or other aquatic invertebrates, unfit for human consumption; greaves. Pepper of the genus Piper; dried or crushed or ground fruits of the genus Capsicum or of the genus Pimenta.

4. Major items of India’s import from these provinces were Electronic integrated circuits, Flat panel display modules, Telephone sets, Automatic data processing machines and units, Electric accumulators and separators, Electrical transformers, static converters and inductors, Microphones and stands, Monitors and projectors, Luminaires and lighting.
