The jurisdiction of the Consulate extends over 7 provinces of China, including Fujian, Guangdong, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Hainan, Hunan, Sichuan, and Yunnan.

Key highlights of the Annual Report are as follows:

1. The seven provinces together accounted for 28.14% of China’s GDP in 2018.
2. Trade between India and the seven provinces under this Post’s jurisdiction was USD 31.947 billion in 2018.
3. Indian exports to these provinces in 2018 were USD 5.092 billion as against USD 4.015 billion in 2017. India’s imports from these provinces were USD 26.855 billion as against USD 23.087 billion in 2017. Guangdong Province alone contributed USD 23.390 billion to the bilateral trade.
4. Major items of India’s exports to these provinces included diamonds and precious stones, textiles and related products, plastics, marble and granite stones and leather.
5. Major items of India’s import from these provinces were electronic products, mobile phones and accessories, home appliances, LED displays, lighting products, textiles, garments, audio-video equipment and accessories and construction machinery.
