Glimpses of India Festival from 19 February to 4 March, 2016

Consulate General of India, Guangzhou, in collaboration with Hotel Crowne Plaza, will be organizing  ‘Glimpses of India Festival’  from 19 February to 4 March, 2016 at Hotel Crowne Plaza, Guangzhou City Centre.  

The two-week long festival will include an Indian Food Festival with authentic and delicious Indian cuisine from various parts of India prepared by Indian Chefs, besides cultural performances by artists from India, display of traditional Indian garments and handicrafts items as well as present a glimpse of India’s wonderful touristic destinations.

The year 2015 was designated as ‘Visit India Year in China’ and a series of Indian cultural programmes and tourism promotion events were organised throughout China, as a result of which there has been a significant increase in the number of Chinese nationals visiting India. The Glimpses of India Festival in Guangzhou is organised in order to further showcase the immense potential India offers to discerning visitors to experience and enjoy the rich and varied Indian food, culture, the beautiful tourism spots, yoga, etc.

The Glimpses of India Festival will kick-off on 19th February in the presence of VIP guests, Consular corps, top Executives of Hotel Crowne Plaza, guests from various walk of life and media representatives.  There will be a raffle draw during the inauguration event with exciting prizes, including return air tickets from Guangzhou to Delhi.
